Athens-Limestone County Chamber of Commerce
As the Graphic Design Manager for the Athens–Limestone Chamber of Commerce, I led the visual branding for the Chamber’s signature governmental forums, featuring prominent political leaders at the local, county, state, and federal levels. These events included appearances by Alabama’s Governor, the Limestone County Chairman, the Mayor, and U.S. Congressman Dale Strong. My role was to create a unified and professional visual identity that positioned these forums within a distinct, recognizable category separate from standard Chamber programming.
The goal of this initiative was to elevate the presentation and engagement of all governmental forums through a cohesive branding system. I transformed previously inconsistent event materials into a refined, signature visual style that conveyed credibility, authority, and consistency across all forums while maintaining the integrity of the event content and messaging.
I designed the complete branding system for these forums, including event logos, printed programs, PowerPoint presentations, and promotional materials. Using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, I developed a scalable visual framework that could be applied across multiple governmental events featuring different officials while remaining instantly recognizable.
The refreshed branding directly contributed to increased event engagement and attendance. Participation grew from 178 attendees in 2023 (prior to my leadership of event branding) to 185 attendees in 2024, representing a 3.93% increase. This outcome highlights the impact of cohesive, high-quality design on visibility, perception, and overall success of civic and governmental events.
